Privacy
This page describes what the Vertex Vest site actually does with information. It was last updated on 19 October 2026. The operator is the editorial team of this site, reached at the details below. We do not publish a corporate registration number.
1. Who is responsible
The editorial team of Vertex Vest is responsible for the personal information described here. The site is an educational project. It is not presented as a registered financial firm.
2. Contact
Email info@vertexvest.net, phone +1 416 908 4472, post 86 Atlantic Avenue, Toronto, ON M6K 1X9, Canada. Use the same address for a privacy request.
3. Form messages
If you send the contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject, and message you typed. Those fields are used to read what you sent and to reply. You choose whether to include anything beyond what the form asks. Please do not send account numbers or copies of identity documents.
4. On your device
Two keys may be written to local storage in your browser: cookieConsent, which remembers whether you accepted or declined the notice, and eduNoticeAck, which remembers that you closed the educational notice. They stay on your device. The site’s own scripts do not send them to an analytics service.
5. What we do not collect
This site does not run analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking pixels. We do not build an advertising profile from your visit. The revenue note in the footer describes how the project is funded; it does not mean those technologies are installed here.
6. Legal basis
We rely on your consent when you submit the form, and on the need to answer that message. Storing the on-device notice preference is a function you control by accepting, declining, or clearing site data in your browser. Canadian private-sector privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act where it applies, frames these requests.
7. Purposes
Purposes are limited: to reply to you, to correct a page if you report an error, and to handle a privacy request. We do not use form messages to recommend investment products or to sell a list of readers.
8. Retention
A message is kept only as long as needed to reply and to handle a reasonable follow-up, then deleted. On-device keys remain until you clear them. Server logs that a host may create for security are outside the educational text of this page; ask us if you want to know what the current host retains.
9. Your rights
You may ask what we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete a message you sent. You may also withdraw consent for further replies. Send the request from the email address you used, or say clearly which message you mean. We may need to confirm that the request is yours.
10. Transfers
If a hosting provider processes the form so the message can be delivered, that processing is only for running the site. We do not name a vendor here, and we do not authorize that provider to use your message for its own advertising. If a provider is outside Canada, the protection available may differ from PIPEDA. Ask us before you write if that matters to you.
11. Supervisory authority
You may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. That office is a public authority. Naming it is not a claim that Vertex Vest is registered with it or with any securities regulator.
