Cookies

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site can ask your browser to keep. Local storage is a related place in the browser where a script can save a short value. Both stay on your device until they expire or you remove them.

2. What this site stores

Vertex Vest writes two values to local storage, not to an analytics account:

• cookieConsent — either “accepted” or “declined”, after you use the notice.
• eduNoticeAck — set when you close the notice that these pages are educational courses, not financial services.

The site’s scripts do not transmit those values to a server.

3. Preference storage

The values exist so the notices do not reappear on every page. They are functional. They are not used to identify you across other websites.

4. Analytics

We do not set analytics cookies and we do not run a visitor-measurement tool on this site. A claim that we do would be false.

5. Advertising and third parties

We do not set advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. The footer explains that revenue can come from advertising and educational content. That sentence is about the business model. It is not a statement that an ad network’s cookie is present in your browser when you read these pages.

6. How to manage it

Use the Accept or Decline buttons on the notice. To remove a stored choice, clear site data for vertexvest.net in your browser settings. Browsers also let you block storage entirely. The control sits in the browser, not in an account we would have to invent.

7. If you decline

The educational pages remain available. Declining stores the decline so the notice stays closed. It does not turn on a different set of trackers. If you block storage altogether, the notices may appear again on a later visit because the page cannot remember your choice.

8. Retention

The values remain until you clear them or until your browser removes site data. We do not set an expiry on a remote profile, because we do not keep one for this purpose.
